Sweet Upswing :-)

Just a quick mid-monthly update - feeling somewhat sick at the moment, However, at least a look at my SNG-graph makes me smile ;-)

With regard to the good run I decided to continue with the 45-men and do not switch to 9-men. I hope I can continue the solid volume (12-tabling) and make it as fast as possible to the 1,50$ Buy-In. Eventually I will shot them when I reach 200$ (the planned 150 BI bankroll management requires 225$).

I also started mixing-in the 11/27/55/85 Cent MTTs, but did not win anything notable. As I often have problems with mixing different formats, I will not continue this and wait until my roll is sufficient for larger Buy-Ins for pure MTT-sessions.

Concerning Zoom, I played a few short sessions which did not run well. I tried fullring, which went somewhat better, but will for the time being stick to the SNGs.

Current SNG-Bankroll: 170,49$
Current Zoom-Bankroll: 62,16$

Welcome to my new Blog!

Hi everybody,

welcome to my new blog! It is my first one in English - sorry for any mistakes ;-)

My name is Ch1perella (or Moni(ka) in real life), and I have been playing online poker for about eight years now. My first poker love was Limit Hold'em, particularly tournaments, in which I did very well (my biggest cash so far is 8k in an 99$ LHE on Party). "Did" because there are not many of them nowadays. I played them during many nights and skyped with my poker buddy Marc who started calling me "Chiperella" as I often had lots of chips in the tourneys. I sometimes change it to Swingerella, Busterella, Luckerella or Zoomerella.

During the last few years I mainly played MTT-SNGs and big NLHE tournaments. After several cash-outs, a heavy downswing in 2014 and ignoring BRM for MTTs, my cashier at Pokerstars.EU currently looks like this:

So it's time for a serious re-grind with a conservative bankroll management and for fighting my leaks. Apart from BRM these are mainly my postflop play and my huge tilt factor. I have created this blog to track my development, become more focussed and get in touch with other players. I might also record some video blogs or short sessions, or even start streaming on Twitch if I manage all the technical stuff.

As 45-men are my most profitable SNGs, I will mostly play them, starting with the 50 Cents. Although I do not really like cash games (I will come back to this in a later post), I will - influenced by xflixx (Pokerstars Team Online Felix Schneiders) - give Zomm SH a try and follow a 40 stack BRM. For SNGs, BRM looks like this:

I have a little bit more money on Pokerstars.FR were I will sometimes play MTTs on Sundays. This will be outside the .EU BRM. With regard to tilt, I will finally listen to Jared Tendler's "Mental Game of Poker" audio books.

This is my "poker office" (in fact it is just a corner of my living room):

I will summarize more facts about my setup and results in a second post.

Besides poker I love my cat "Sally" and audio books. I live in Kiel (North of Germany) and work part-time in a bank. My age can unfortunately be found in my screenname Moni1971. I was not very creative when I started playing ;-)
